Secondary art students from Colaiste Muire Ballymote, Co Sligo collaborated with artist Ana Faye to create a stunning Japanese-inspired kimono, utilizing traditional Sashiko stitching on denim. This project highlights student and artist collaboration at its best. Focusing on creativity, stitching and design techniques, students researched and designed their own patterns, resulting in a unique, textured, and wearable art piece that merges traditional techniques with modern, sustainable design.
