New Beginnings
The “New Beginnings” collaborative sculpture project invited students to explore themes of growth, change, resilience, and hope through the creation of individual wire trees. Students participated in brainstorming, sketching, and experimenting with wire sculpting techniques before designing and constructing their own unique tree forms. Each piece reflected the student’s personal interpretation of the theme while contributing to a larger collective artwork symbolising community and connection. The project encouraged creativity, collaboration, problem-solving, and hands-on learning, while also developing confidence in artistic expression and three-dimensional construction techniques. Over the course of the project, students worked together to assemble the individual sculptures into one final installation, celebrating both individuality and unity. Photographic documentation captured the development process from initial planning and material exploration through to construction, collaboration, and the completed sculpture display.
