  • As na ceardlanna seo tugadh na scileanna do dhaltaí a dtimpeallacht féin a léiriú go físiuil, le dathanna, le cruthanna, agus beocht thimpeallacht Chorca Dhuibhne.
  • Roghnaigh na scolairí teideal an togra IMRAM  focal ársa sa Ghaeilge a chiallaíonn turas ar an bhfarraige.
  • Feabhra ’13  2013: Thaisteal Brenda Friel, Máire Ní Normaile, Maree Hensey agus scolairí na hidirbhlaina Josie knight agus Anna Aranowska go Lesóta chun an píosa coimisiúnaithe a thabhairt ar lámh chuig  Setsoto Design.
  • Cruthaíonn na fíodóirí, Motselisi Ntai, ‘Makamoho Setenane’, ‘Mampotokang Tebeli’  IMRAM
  • Glactar griangrafanna le linn na próiséise seo.
  • Seoladh oifigiúil na fíodóireachta agus taispéantas griangrafadóireachta,  6.in Déardaoin 18ú Aibreán, Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne, Co. Chiarraí.
  • Aíonna speisialta ag an seoladh ná Ambasadóir na hÉireann go Lesóta, A Shoilse Gerry Gervin, Céad Rúnaí Lesótha chun na hÉireann Mr Machachamise agus Dermot Carney Creative Engagement,  NAPD (Eagraíocht Náisiúnta na bPríomhoidí agus Leasphríomhoidí)

Dingle youth abstractly express their surroundings interpreted by weavers in landlocked kingdom of Lesotho.

  • Project TitlePartiocht Chruthaioch i bPobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne
  • Participants: Transition Year Students Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne, Art Teachers Brenda Friel and Jane Ní Mhurchú, Artist Maree Hensey and Documentary Photographer Eileen O’Leary.
  • Project commences in November 2012
  • Maree Hensey through on line video conferencing and school based workshops facilitated students to create an iconic design to be translated into a large scale weaving.
  • Through these workshops students were given the tools to visually express the colour, shape and vibrancy of the Corca Dhuibne landscape.
  • The title of the work is chosen by students:  IMRAM: An old Irish word referencing epic journey across seas.
  • February ’13 2013:Brenda Friel, Maree Hensey, Mary Ní Normaile and Transition Year Students Anna Aranowska and Josie Knight travel to Lesotho and hand over the commission to Setsoto Design
  • Weavers Motselisi Ntai, ‘Makamoho Setenane, ‘Mampotokang Tebeli create IMRAM
  • This process is documented photographically.
  • Official Launch of weaving and photography exhibition: 6pm, Thursday 18th April, Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne Dhuibhne, Co Kerry
  • Special guess at launch include Irish Ambassador to Lesotho His Excellency Gerry Gervin, First Secretary to Ireland , Mr Machachamise and Dermot Carney, Creative Engagement, NAPD (National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals)
  • This project has been part funded by Creative Engagement
