The Land Woven in Wool
This project involved students collaborating with a professional artist to create felted landscape artworks. Throughout the residency, students developed and applied a range of felting techniques, including wet felting, needle felting, and three-dimensional processes.
Using wool and fibres, they designed and produced textured landscape scenes, incorporating sculptural elements that added depth, structure, and imaginative qualities to their work.
The project enriched teaching and learning by combining practical skill development with creative inquiry, while also supporting students’ confidence, self-expression, and engagement in the artistic process.
