Things are moving along with increasing speed in schools. With end of year projects lining up everyone is very busy. And the Creative Engagement projects are being unveiled in schools as I write.
St. Aiden’s Comprehensive School, Co. Cavan, unveiled their colourful outdoor sculpture.
Beara Community School, Co Cork, is unveiling their Maritime Heritage Creative Engagement project.
Glenamaddy Community School Co, Galway, is also doing its Creative Engagement unveiling.
Pobal Scoil Chorcha Dhuibhne Co. Kerry, unveiled its weaving project. This was entitled Imram, an old Gaelic word for voyage across the sea. And they did cross the sea. The project went to Lesotho and worked with weavers there. At the unveiling of the wall hanging the Irish Ambassador to Lesotho and the First Secretary to the Lesotho Ambassador in Ireland attended. We will have more information on the project as we receive images from the school.
