The project explored themes of legacy, growth, and community through the shared symbol of a tree. Students worked alongside the artist to develop individual elements, which were then combined into a large, permanent collaborative Wire tree sculpture. The process encouraged creativity, reflection, and teamwork, while allowing students to express personal ideas within a collective outcome. Cross‑year collaboration strengthened peer relationships and fostered a positive, inclusive working environment. From initial concept to final installation, students were actively involved at every stage of the project. The completed Legacy Tree now serves as a lasting visual record of student voice, creativity, and collaboration within the school community.

Teacher: Claire Lennon

Artist: Glenn Gibson

The Legacy Tree Project, led by artist Glenn Gibson, was a collaborative Creative Engagement Project involving Transition Year and 5th Year Art students.
