The Abbey School, Tipperary have completed their Creative Engagement Project 2020. Their artist in residence was Lynn Kirkham …. she is a very talented lady who teaches sculpture (willow weaving). Her public sculptures can be seen at the Newbridge and Kildare exits just off the M7 motorway. (Large scale horses and Cuchulainn and his hounds). Her website is the ‘GreenMantle Studio’. Lynn has a page on Facebook and has shared a time lapse video of the Willow Sculpture the students completed. The project was inspired by a visit from Eddie Lenihan (seanchai). They linked up with the Writer In Residence Program and the English Department, who have been writing poetry inspired by the new sculpture outside the English Room.
