We have beautiful results from Donabate Community College’s Creative Engagement Project 2017.
The Aim of the project is to create a ceramic totem pole inspired by interests of the students, the immediate school environment and surrounding area. The finished sculpture will be installed in the school grounds around May
· The four main techniques that we will be working with are slabs, (to create the main body of the pole), and texture, modelling (or high relief/ almost 3D) and multiples (each layer must contain all three of these elements)
. The Students worked in groups of three to create a section of the totem pole.
